What is it about?

This book is essentially a combination of all of Benjamin Franklin’s wisdom compact into a little book. It is separated into sections based on what he is talking about, and also includes some poetry.

Think of it as Benjamin Franklin’s greatest hits.

My favourite parts

Usually, I would talk about certain parts that I enjoyed the most. But since this is mainly quotes, I will share some of the ones I enjoyed the most.

“It’s the easiest thing in the world for a man to deceive himself.”

“A long life may not be good enough, but a good life is long enough.”

“Well done is better than well said.”

Who should read it?

There are bits in here that would be great for pretty much anyone. Whether he’s talking about business, human nature, or religion, it is all thought-provoking and interesting at the least.

I mainly read it to get some practical wisdom and to see what I could apply to my approach to life.

It was also recommended by Charlie Munger… And you gotta listen to Charlie.

Additional thoughts

To be honest, some of it was a bit of a waste of time. That’s usually how it is when you read a book like this.

But the parts that were great, were very great, and made the whole book worth it.

Thanks for reading
