What is it about?
Although it was written in the 50s, this book is more relevant than ever. He talks about how in an age of rapid technological advancements and people constantly trying to stack material possessions, we lose the essence of life.
We are becoming so busy preparing for the future that we forget to live, now.
My favourite parts
The entire book was my favourite part (hence the 10/10 rating), but I will do my best to pick a couple.
I enjoy it when he talks about letting go. The whole point of life is to do the dance. We need to move with it like water.
It is also great that he goes through uncertainty. Life in general is uncertain. The only thing we ever know is right now. So, constantly worrying about what is uncertain is just going to make us anxious and insecure.
Who should read it?
This book is amazing for everyone. Especially those struggling with anxiety or feeling insecure about what is to come.
Additional thoughts
This is an easy book to pack in your bag and carry around with you. You can read a few pages at a time, but make sure to be fully present when reading. It is valuable.
