What is it about?

This book is all about human nature (obviously). It doesn’t only talk about the laws you need to learn, though. It’ll also teach you how to spot specific types of people, how to motivate them, avoid them and influence them.

And, it’ll also teach you how to spot your own negative patterns and alter them.

My favourite parts

I found this book rather hard to put down. Every time you start to learn about a new law, you can instantly either think of someone in your life that the law applies to or find certain flaws in yourself that the law exposes.

Essentially, I loved how applicable and relatable the book was.

It was very interesting when it went over “becoming an elusive object of desire”. The book goes through how people are increasingly self-absorbed and overall lazy. We have started to believe others should simply desire us for who we are… and that’s not true.

Who should read it?

Those who are trying to climb the corporate ladder or lead any sort of team will find this book particularly useful.

But I would recommend it for anyone.

Additional thoughts

Robert Greene is an excellent writer. Don’t be intimidated by the size and weight of this book. It is worth the read.
