What is it about?
In this book, Robert explains what true mastery is and uses numerous examples to back up his points. As he explains mastery, he also explains what you need to do to achieve it.
It’s more than just luck, and it’s more than just 10,000 hours of practice.
To become a master, you need to figure out your life path, become an apprentice, and spend years dedicated to your craft.
My favourite parts
I used more post-its in this book than in nearly any book prior. That’s because Robert shares an endless amount of applicable wisdom. I’ll be coming back through this book many times in the future.
One of my favourite parts was when he talks about the seven deadly qualities to be wary of in human behaviour. Envy, conformism, rigidity, self-obsessiveness, laziness, flightiness and passive aggression.
He explains how to spot these qualities and what to do with people who possess these qualities.
Who should read it?
Anyone who wants to be great should read this book. It doesn’t matter whether you are an athlete, an entrepreneur, an artist, or an electrician.
This book is for you.
