What is it about?
This book is about 4 different masculine archetypes: The king, warrior, magician, and lover. It also goes over the boy archetypes that mature into the masculine ones.
You’ll not only learn about the archetypes, but also the shadow versions behind each one. The shadow versions are the consequences of going off track.
My favourite parts
Books like this are interesting because it’s fun to see which one you are most like.
For myself, I am most like the lover. I resonate with the passionate, creative, and spiritual type. It was quite something to see how much of it sounded like me. Even the shadow parts. When I go down the wrong path, I see those sides in me.
Everyone has a bit of each archetype in them. Learning what to do in order to avoid the shadow side of each one, and how to spot it, was really nice to read.
Who should read it?
Men in general will get a lot of value from this book. I believe it will help them spot their faults and grow from them. It’ll also help spot their strengths and know what to do with them. It gives a sense of pride and direction.
