What is it about?

An overview of the 48 laws you need to follow if you want to gain power. These laws derive from lessons learned by studying powerful people of the past, such as Mao, Machiavelli, and Henry Kissinger.

Even if you are not seeking to gain power, it is important to learn these laws so you can spot when someone else is trying to gain power over you.

My favourite parts

Many of these laws were quite interesting to read about. But I will try to highlight a couple of my favourites.

Law 25: Re-Create Yourself.
You should not accept the box society places you in. Those who have the most power have been able to shine in multiple domains. Such as Donald Trump in real estate and then as president.

Law 46: Never Appear Too Perfect.

Envy is very real. By appearing too perfect, you will make others envious of you. This will end up creating enemies, people who will be happy to see you fall, and so may aid in that happening.

There are little lessons to be learned everywhere in this book, and ones that can be applied to your life, no matter who you are.

Who should read it?

Although politicians may see the most use from this book, it would also be good for those climbing the corporate ladder, entrepreneurs, and any public figure to read this book.

Additional thoughts

The information in this book is very tightly condensed. Every single line is meaningful.

Take your time with this one.
